SAMSUNG recently invited MasterChef Malaysia 2012 finalist Brian Chen, a Suria FM radio host affectionately known as Abang Brian, to host a cooking session.
The Masak-Masak with Samsung Smart Living event showcased how easy it is to prepare food using the Samsung convection microwave oven.
Abang Brian first showed how a traditional dish like rendang could be prepared in minutes. Guests were later invited to try their hand at making goreng pisang (banana fritters) without using oil.
But the climax of the event was when Abang Brian whipped out the Samsung Powerstick Pro to clean up the mess on the countertop.
This cordless vacuum cleaner is the latest in Samsung’s lineup of home appliances.
Weighing in at 2.95kg, the portable vacuum cleaner can generate up to 150W of suction thanks to Samsung’s digital inverter motor which spins at about 5000rpm.
The whole device runs on a 32.4V lithium-ion removable power pack that offers up to 40 minutes of battery life.
For ease of use, the Powerstick Pro has a 50° tilt for those difficult-to-reach places. It is also easy to clean thanks to the EZClean dustbin that empties at a pull of a lever.
The vacuum cleaner comes with four additional tools. There’s the Turbo Action Brush which gets tiny dirt or hair out of carpets; the Mini Motorised Tool which helps clean dust and allergens on bedsheets, mattresses, and fabric furniture; the Combination Tool that enables users to pick up dirt on a wide range of surfaces; and the Extension Crevice Tool to clean narrow areas.
There are two optional tools users can purchase from the Samsung Service Centre.
First is the Flexible Tool that can bend at an angle to pick up dust in hard-to-reach places, and the second is the Soft Action Brush that has a soft woven nylon cover to effectively remove dust while protecting the floors.
The Samsung Powerstick Pro is available now for RM2,799.
